This is a story about when the human race had just advanced into space. At this time the cold war had just ended. But the United States and Russia dislike each other yet.
His name was John Konery. He was an astronaut in the U.S. He was scheduled to take part in the launch planning of the space shuttle, a cooperative project between the U.S and Russia. But he did not want to take part in the plan because he did not like Russian.
He had met the Russian astronaut when he had taken part in the joint traning. His name was Zechs. He did not like Americans either. So their meeting was so unpleasant.
Then the day that the space shuttle would be launched came. But their relations were bad yet.
The mission went well for a while after launching the space shuttle. John said to his wife by a communication, "Navigation is smooth, except for fellow workers. I want to eat your home made dish."
An accident happened suddenly.
"What's that," Zechs said.
"Electric energy is fallen down rapidly! In addition we cannot communicate with control tower," another astronaut said.
The cause was that space debris hit the space shuttle, and destroyed the right solar panel and the communication system.
If electric energy could not be retrive, the space shuttle would stop, and it would wander in space eternally.
"How much fuel is in the tank?" John said.
"There are 600," another astronaut said.
"According to my calculation, jet it three times for 50 seconds, and the left solar panel can be turned to the sun!" John said.
"No, it is so dangerous! In addition, your calculation cannot be certain?"
Zechs shouted. He disliked John yet.
"But there is only one method of which we survive! Believe me!" John called on them.
A silence continued for a minute.
"All right, let's try! I believe you," Zechs said to John.
"All right, I don't fail to succeed."
John griped on control stick. Stress started.
And.....
He succeded in this plan! They leaped for joy!
John and Zechs divided the pleasure between each other. Their relations were not bad any more.
